1996 Chevy Truck 5.7 vortec won't start

I've replaced the fuel pump, fuel filter and relay. The truck starts when cold but after running for a while and I shut it off and after it sits for a few minutes it won't start. It will run if I pour fuel in the so called carb and the die after the fuel runs out. Not sure what I should be looking for next to solve the problem

Verify the fuel pressure if its within specs though its new and check for injection pulses

It is steady at 62 psi sorry I forgot to mention that
