1996 Chevy Truck cranks but will not start

Will not start, there is fuel pressure, spark, when I put gas directly to the throttle body it starts then turns off

I havea question for you! You stated that it has fuel pressure and you also stated that you put a shot into the throttle is this the way you checked the pressure? If not and your possitive that it has pressure, check the fuel pressure for proper specs.

If your not sure check the fuel pump, it sounds like it may possibly gone out.

Whlie someone turns the key to the on position put your ear close to the filler door, the hatch were you refill the car with gas. Make sure its open and listen for a short humming sound if you here it the pump is spinning if not is out. But if the pump is working it does not mean well.

I'm having the same problem have checked pressure is at 60 & at 62 when cranking I can hear the pump prime but the truck also only starts for a bit when I pour gas down the intake

It sounds like you have a shorted MAF sensor, if you unplug it will the truck run? Please go over this video to see what I am talking about:
