WENT TO START IT AND IT WOULD NOT START SO I GAVE IT A JUMP WHILE JUMPING IT, IT BACK FIRED AND SPARKED UNDER THE HOOD WHAT COULD THIS BE?

Did you have the jumper cables hooked up correctly? Where did the sparking come from?

Check the battery and cables/wires, if that checks out, you can do some testing at the starter solenoid. Make sure the tranny is in park or neutral and the e-brake is set.
