I recently started having a vibration only when braking and usually only from higher speeds. I originally turned the rotors without replacing the pads. The vibration never went away, so I replaced the pads and rotors. However, the vibration still occurs and is still as bad as before. I checked the front end suspension and everything seems fine there. Like I said it doesn't vibrate all the time, mostly from higher speeds (above 35 mph). However, when it does vobrate it vibrates the whole vehicle, but can it seems like the vibration originates from the front. It will shake the floorboard the steering wheel as well as the seat. I am out of ideas on what the problem could be. Was told it could be the ABS Module but the light never kicks on. The truck runs smoothly except for when braking under high speeds. Hopefully you can help so I dont have to pay someone to look at it.

The abs modulator is located on the driverside framerail, and has 5 brake lines going to it. I doubt thats your problem. You have rotors in the rear also, may look into getting those rotors turned, and replacing those pads. Its overlooked, and will give a vibration

Uncommon an 05, so you will have to bear with me on this one. Let me do some searching into this, as ive never seen drums on an 05. I have seen drums warp, and give a vibration. If you step on the parking brake while driving does this change the vibration any?

I actually work in an auto shop so I will try and turn the drums tomorrow, but to answer your question I have not tried setting the parking brake and driving it to see if the vibration stops I wll try that in the morning as well.

I also work in a garage. Have seen some funky things over the years. Drums are overlooked for vibration, I learned this the hard way. Ive done it myself. Let me know your results, hopefully I can get your problem taken care of. We gotta start somewhere, and as you just did all front brakes/rotors, the rears are sounding like the issue.
