flickering lights

I have a 2003 chevy s-10 with 50000 miles a 4 cylender I noticed while driving a night tonight the headlights flickered and also the interior light did the same they also did it wihile taping the brake what could be causing this I checked the bat cables it seem just fine

I would start by checking the cables. Make sure they are clean and tight. Then I would check the alternator to make sure it is puting out the proper ampridge. It sounds like it isn't keeping up.
