2001 Chevy S-10 no start

2001 Chevy S-10 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

Truck will not start. Truck will crank over with spark. Fuel system has pressure but no fuel gets to engine. Will fire with fuel poured down the intake. Changed streering column due to faulty turn signal assembly and immediately after would not start. Changed fuel filter, plugs, wires, cap and rotor. Could it be due to the steering column in the way of a cut out or the dual port injector?
Finally put the original steering column back with another turn signal assembly and all is well. Go figure. Nice to have a place like this to look to though. Thanks very much

Turn on key qand see if the check engine light comes on. If it does not then check the fuses. Also does the theft light flash continuously after you attempt to start the truck when you leave the key on
