wont start like it should takes a few minits makes a funny noies and when it gets jumped starts right up
it wont want to drive for long distancis

How long since a tune-up? Use a gage and check fuel pressure. Any applicable trouble codes? With extended crank, have helper crank while you visually check for spark at the plugs, if you have spark, check fuel pressure. Make sure the battery has a full charge and the connections are good.
