Need to Change rear turn singal

My mother, bless her, can irritate me sometimes, but especially so in this heat. Anyway, I love her no matter what, but she is very upset that her rear right turn signal is no longer blinking. She has a 2005 Chevy Malibu. How the heck do I get to the bulbs? I took the one screw off and tried to pop out the entire lens, but all I succeeded in doing was scratching some of the paint and chipping a peace of the lens off. What am I doing wrong?

Look inside the trunk. You may have to move some molding or carpet. But if you look from inside the trunk behind the lamp assembly you should see three bolts.(They may be wing nuts) Remove those three bolts and the lamp assembly should side right out. Change the bulbs and put it back in and you are set.
