Does the engine start for a few seconds with the starting fluid? When you say aftermarket engine, what was the original engine size in the car?

W got it started i hed to rewire the whole starting system with a push button because of some idiot that thought he knew what he was doing, the wires were spliced and bare in a million places and fried out the ignition side of the key switch.
it came out factory with the 305, that was the only V8 option in 86 for that car but now it has a fully blueprinted 350 in it.

Sounds like a nightmare, but I'm glad you got it going and I hope you have good luck with it. That is my favorite body style. I have a son, he's 14, and when he turns 15 next year, we plan to find one like yours and redo it from top to bottom for his first car. Actually, I'm going to try to find one with the V6. He scares the *& % out of me on his dirt bike. He doesn't need a 305 and defenately not a built 350. (LOL)

Take care and be careful. It most likely goes like. And it would be nice to have you back as a customer in the future.

IT must be nice to have warm weather all of the time. I just finished wiring my truck for a snow plow. I hate snow. I guess the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence.

Take care of yourself and let us know if you have questions in the future. Great talking with you.
