how to replace the fuel pump on a 96 blazer

fuel pump is located in fuel tank and you have to lower the gas tank down and remove the fuel pump module




common steps to remove a fuel tank


1. remove fuel pump fuse and relay start engine and let it stall ,or release fuel pressure from lines
2. raise and support the truck
3. disconnect fill lines
4. disconnect hoses and line from fuel tank
5. drain fuel for easy handling of the tank
6. support tank
7. remove bolts holding gas tank straps remove straps
8. lower tank slow and easy enough so you can reach over and disconnect the lines and connector from the pump
9. lower tank slow and easy making sure nothing is connected to it
once tank down remove fuel pump module
