Make sure there is full BATTERY voltage on the big wire on the back of the alt. If there is, make sure the other plug is seating all the way. There's usually a big fuse, probably 75amp or higher, that could be blown. Look in the underhood fuse box and see if that fuse is blown. It shoud say 'generator' or 'alternator'. Start there and get back with me.
