The car always starts in the morning. After driving during the day, after being parked for a short time, the car will crank but won't start. I will try it 3 or 4 times then wait let the rest 2 or 3 minutes. Then it will start. Then a minute or two later the "check engine light" will come on. I check for codes, no codes. The car runs nicely and quietly. But the no start problem can happen at any time. I have had this car for 16 years and never had a problem like this. The most recent problem which I solved was code P0171, I found a vacuum leak in the PVC hose and replaced it. Now this new problem of not starting. Help

It sounds like the fuel pump is going out, but we need to find out which system is failing, either fuel or spark.

Please go over this video to help us see what's going on and get back to me:

I watched the video. Let me give you some more background on the car. 6 months ago, I put in new spark plugs. 4 weeks ago, I put in a new Mas Air Sensor. 3 weeks ago, as a precaution I put in a new starter. 2 weeks ago, I took the car on a 3 hour ride out of state. Stayed overnight and drove back 3 hours the car started and ran without any problems every time. No engine light, no codes. I thought the car was good again. I continued to use the car for short daily runs at home. Now the problem is back. At times for no other reason, I may take a short drive between 5 and 30 minutes. Park and it may not start when I return to the car. It cranks but will not start. Then I wait 3 to 5 minutes, and it starts. I drive home with no other problems, turn it off, start it again it starts. It will continue to start. Sometimes a week will go by before it does not start and I do the same thing, wait and then it starts and runs normally. Note: It never stalls while driving and never loses power, so I don't think it's the fuel pump.

So, when the engine will not start does it have spark? If not, I have seen the crankshaft angle sensor go out, here is the location so you can change it out. Also, have you re-run the codes to see if any other codes have come up? Check out the images (below). Please upload pictures or videos in your response of any problems so we can see what to help you with.
