Gerald, there are several possible causes, and each is a separate troubleshooting and problem identification path.
I note that your heading says "Computer Problem" - If yor car has an engine-control computer (I don't think '89 had an actual computer) perhaps an OBD code scan will tell you the problem.
If not, you will need to further isolate the area of the problem:
(1) It could be an IGNiTION problem - something has killed your ignition and youi are not getting a spark at your plugs.
(2) It could be a FUEL problem - something has stopped your fuel from being injected.
- You need to identify which side, both sides, or neither side (AIR / EXHAUST blockage?) To further isolate the cause so the problem can be traced and isolated.
There are a few ways to check for a Spark (most probable cause, I think - so check this first).
If you have spark, test fuel pressure. There are several ways, depending on the tools available to you.
Post back here when you have further isolated the source of your problem.
Good Luck to you.
