Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros.

Since the fuel pressure is good and you have spark, try this. See if the engine will start for a couple seconds using starting fluid. If it does, then we have to assume there is an issue with the injectors. If it still does not start, check the spark again. It should be a hot blue snapping spark. If it is white or orange, it may be too weak to burn the fuel.

Also, if you have not already, you should scan the computer to see if there are any trouble codes stored. Here is a quick video showing how that is done:

Here are a couple links that may be helpful. The first one discusses the most common reasons why an engine will not start. The second discusses how to check fuel injection.

Let me know what happens or if you have other questions.

Take care,

Joe

Turn key on 3 times then it will start. Took truck to automotive service they said they ran diagnostic to determine it was the spider injectors, they replaced. Brought truck home 2 days past. This time had to pump the pedal as I was trying to start before it would start. Took truck back to service. They ran diagnostic determined it was the rotor and plug wires. Supposed to pick it up today. I thought diagnostic revealed all issues. Is it possible that an additional diagnostic would reveal something in addition to what what previously found?

I think this is a common mistake that the shop says they ran diagnostics to figure out the issue. It gives the impression that they scanned the vehicle like a computer spyware scans its system to look for virus'. Unfortunately this is not the case. When they scan the vehicle they are just checking for codes. If there are no codes then the shop needs to test the systems that would cause this. This requires them to know what would cause this and test that system.

This issue sounds like a fuel issue. So we need to know what the fuel pressure is when this is happening. Here are some guides that will help with this:

Below you will find the process from the manual that helps with testing the fuel system. However, if you let us know what they found that would help. I am interested to see what they found.
