I have a 2002 dodge ram 1500 with the 4.7L engine. It has problems of not starting. I know its not getting fuel. I've replaced the fuel pump but that didn't fix it. I have power going to the pump and no wires are loose. Somedays it will start and run like a champ, others it just sits. It will run alittle if carb and choke cleaner is sprayed into intake. What may cause this?

I have the same type of truck with a similiar problem, you might want to check the fuel pump relay. Since it only starts fine when you spray starter fluid into the intake then thats your first sign that its a fuel related problem that you are expierincing. If the relay is ok then the next thing to check is the fuel filter, which you can remove and blow through to see how much force is needed to get through. If its really hard to blow through then change it, my advise would be that you will want to change it anyways becuause if it is clogged it will make your fuel pump go bad. If that does not solve your problem then check your fuel injectors to see if there is build up on them that is causing them to not spray the way they should be.

Hope this Helps!
