Truck will crank, but won't start

I have a 2002 dodge ram 1500 and the enginre will crank but it won't start. This happened before and the fix was something like turning the key to the on position 3 or 5 times to reset? Have you heard of this solution? If you have, please advise.

What you described was the way to get trouble codes from an OBD 1 system that Chrysler used years ago. What to do in this case is check to see if you have spark and fuel to the engine. If one is missing, focus on that circuit. If the check engine light is on, you need an OBD 2 scanner to check for trouble codes. Many parts stores will lend or rent one to you.
