I have a 2001 satrun that is using oil.

There are no leaks, nor is there a cloud of blue smoke coming out the exhaust.

I drive 120 miles, and the oil is a quart low.

When I change the oil and filter, I can drive one mile

and the oil is black already. Is this a sludge problem?

That is a lot of oil use if you haven't or the other owner's haven't been changing the oil regular like every 3,000 mile's.The engine's can sludge up and i have seen the oil ring's sludge up and stick in on the piston's instead of out and running along the cylinder wall causing a lot of oil use.Has the oil been changed regular? If so how often?
