We just got hit with a rain storm and floods. Our '98 nissian sentra stop driving. It will start with no problems, however when you put the car into drive, reverse, 1 or 2 gear, it makes a large grinding noise. Its been 24 hours and we can not drive it only start We have recently had the head gasket, water pump, starter, alternator and tune up done. What could be wrong with it?

If the engine could be started, it should be a fault with the transmisson system.

Check for dislodged drive axles.
With transmision shift in Park, release the handbrake and push the vehicle. If you are able to move vehicle, the drive axles are faulty or have been dislodged.
