Engine wont crank

I was just around the corner from my house when I turned onto a nearby street and my car stopped. I put the car in Park and cranked the car up again and when I placed it in Drive, it shut off again. It did this several times after attempting to crank the car up. I had gas in the car and even added more. After several attempts later, I got the car to crank again but it shut itself off again. You could hear the fuel pump working but no permanent cranking. What could be my problem?

1994 Cadillac Deville V8

I have a 94 Cad. With a the 4.9l V8. The gas gauge hasn't worked for years, so periodically it will run out of gas on me.

One such occasion when I had ran out. It died and I coasted it back to my parking spot, refired it and pulled the rest of the way up. So it refired. Later, filled it with about 3 gallons of gas, but it wont turn over. The engine cranks, but its only the starter turning it over, no firing.

Im afraid its the fuel pump and that just too much to fix on this old thing, Is there anything else that I could try?

Thanks for the help, kinda having a hard time tracking down a pressure gauge for a car as old as mine. Autozone and O'reilly had to backorder them. On a side note. What is this set of hoses? Its over a couple of fuel lines, just really don't know what it does.

I have a well maintained 92 cadillac deville today when going to start the sercurity light comes on and the car wont crank but all lights are bright battery has juice what can I try?

Hello I am experiencing a starting problem and I don't exactly know where to go next. When I turn the key switch to start I have no voltage at the solenoid the engine will not crank. The battery voltage is 12.9 the cables and connections are clean. When I turn the key switch to on and jump across the starter positive and solenioid the engine cranks but will not start. The park neutral switch seems to be adjusted properly and you can hear the starter relay click when the key is turned to start. Do you think there is a problem with the ignition switch or the pass key decoder? Any suggestions?

Car wot crank over by key. I took a jumper wire down to starter and jumped the cylinoid and it cranks over that way but still wont start thanks for your time

I got a 92 cad. Wife were driving it now the remote starter stop working, do the remote works by a fuse, if so where is it located do a remote starter work by a fuse if so where is the fuse located
