1996 Chrysler Concorde starts but dont run

My car died when I left the house, drove two hundred yards, and was coming to a stop. Tried to start it, but wouldn't start. Few days later went back she fired, drove it home let it sit and idle to see what would happen. It ran for maybe five minutes then died. Tried to start it with no luck. Today I started the car it ran for about five minutes then died. I tried to start it a few times but it sputters and stalls, acts as if it is starving for fuel (I have a half tank). Sputters will backfire somewhat and nothing! Thanks for the help

What is the symptom when it doesn't start? Does the starter crank the engine? There's a lot of different symptoms and causes that can all be grouped under "doesn't start".
