You need to measure the resistance of the key and get a resistor that matches and insert in the harness for the key. It is not permanent but will test.

Or if you can take the resistor out of the key you can solder it into the two white wires which are located in the orange sleeve under the steering column. (The chip in the key is a resistor). I had this same problem and did this, and the car cranked right up.
