I have replaced the clutch slave, master cylinder, clutch plate, and cover plus release bearing. There is a slight leak that I'm ordering the hose for today in the hydraulic line shifter cables appear to be fine also the pedal has little resistance I've adjusted the pedal to no avail. Is there anything else I should be looking for besides replacing the hydraulic hose?

A week prior to this happening it was hard to shift into gear a couple times and stalled out twice while about to come to a stop. Also, if I start it in first gear it jumps forward but when it started in neutral, I cannot push it into any gear it just starts grinding.

Hi,

The clutch isn't releasing. Are there any leaks in the system? Is the clutch master cylinder full and do you see any leaks around the slave cylinder?

The problem certainly does sound like it is related to a hydraulic issue. However, you have already replaced everything. It is likely either the clutch Mster Cylinder or the slave.

If you remove the slave cylinder, does it move when the clutch is pressed?

Let me know.

Joe

I put in a new hydraulic line last night. There are no leaks, the master cylinder and the slave are new and I also installed a new clutch kit.

Also, noticed last night after replacing the line that when I tried to go into gear it feels like the shifter is off, so I'm assuming that would have to do with the shifter cables but not sure exactly what to do with that. I'm checking them today to see if there's any kind of break in the line or visual imperfections.

I do recall the bushing looking worn where it attaches to on the linkage, I don't know how big a deal that is but wanted to mention it.

Referring to your question, what move are you asking if I remove this slave cylinder from the fork? Also on a side note, I do recall the bushing on the shifter cable looking worn where it attaches to on the linkage, I don't know how big a deal that is but wanted to mention it.

Hi,

It appears to be doing its job. Try this. With the engine off, place the engine in gear with the clutch released and see if you can move the vehicle manually. If not, try the same thing with the clutch depressed to see if it is releasing.

If it is releasing, it could be a shift linkage issue. Have a helper shift through the gears while you watch to see if the linkage cables at the transmission are working correctly. There should be two cables on this vehicle.

Let me know.

Joe

PS: For some reason, the second picture you mentioned above didn't upload. Could you try that again?

Hi,

Yes. See if it moves when it is in gear. If it does with the clutch released, the clutch isn't the problem. If you find it holds and doesn't release when you press the clutch, then we have an issue with the clutch. I'm trying to determine if the clutch is doing anything and if it could possibly be something other, like a damaged CV joint.

Let me know.

It pushes super easily in those gears, and it barely moves up from neutral to go into those gears now to go down into second fourth or reverse it's like an actual shift to go into first and third I only have to move it up like an inch.

I've looked at the cables the one bushing is a little worn but I wouldn't think enough to cause any harm there's no breaks and they seem to be pushing and pulling okay I mean just by hand I don't really know enough about it to say 100% that's the truth just seems so.

Hi,

It sounds like there is a shift cable issue. If you have the shifter exposed in the vehicle, check to make sure the cables are attached to the retainers and there isn't a linkage issue there. See pic below.

Let me know.

I found a broken bolt in the linkage under the hood. Repairing it now to see if that slipping may have been the issue.

Can you tell me if this gets a bolt in it? I don't know if one's missing from it or what but it appears so the other side however has a fixed nut and what looks like the tip of what used to be a bolt but I am not sure.
