Transmission problem
2001 Hyundai Accent 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual

About 2 weeks ago it became harder and harder to shift. We had never had a problem before this, but it's getting worse every day. Help! The clutch doesn't seem to be going out, but what do I know? Someone told me it could be a transmission problem, but someone else said it could be a "transition" problem. Making it hard to go from gear to gear. Can I fix this reasonably cheap?

Hi Heather,

You did not describe the symptoms very clearly so I need to confirm this.

1. Is it easy to shift gears when stationary?
2. Do you have to lift the clutch pedal a lot before the vehicle moves?
3. You mean to say all the gears are difficult to shift into?
4. Any other info that you think can assist?
