1986 Volkswagen Jetta Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I had an ignition problem on my 86 jetta(I had to hold my key in a certain spot so it would run. I cut the two black ignition wires from the ignition and ran a hot wire to them and it worked for one day. Now it just turns over but will not start. I have spark and fuel

Is the spark a hot blue snapping spark? Have you actually checked fuel pump pressure?

Gave it a tune up and fired right up guess spark must have been a bit weak
