Let me start with I realize this topic has been discussed numerous times on this forum. I don't see any help for my issue.

My turn signals quit working and I traced it to the hazard switch being bad. I replaced the hazard switch and the turn signals blink fast after putting it back together.

I have checked all of the bulbs in inside and out and they are all working. All of the front bulbs are brand new as I have replaced the entire headlights (previous to this issue).

I have checked all of the grounds and they are all tight and appear normal with no damage. I have checked and replaced fuses as well.

I decided to replace the multi function or turn signal switch and the issue still remains. I have tried three different hazard switches and still the same result.

Are the turn signals at all related to or run through the ignition or headlight switch on these cars? What could be the issue? I'm at a loss and I would rather not throw several hundred dollars at a mechanic to check all I already have.

Any suggestions are very helpful! Thanks!

Welcome to 2CarPros.

If they are all working, chances are the logic module in the new switch is different and that is what you are seeing. When power runs through the signal, circuit it goes through a module or flasher that will pulse power rhythmically. According the the schematic I have, the logic module is located in the new switch you purchased. That could be the issue and nothing is wrong.

Take a look at the pictures I have attached. First, I attached a pic of the hazard switch you have replaced. Note what I circled. You will see the logic module and the power out which runs to the signal switch in the vehicle. From that point, I have attached other pictures showing that power then runs to the lights. I had to do it in a few pics to eliminate other things. Also, I highlighted the wires related to the signals. Note that there is one power supply from the hazard switch that leads to the signals.

Let me know if this helps or if you have questions. Also, let me know how fast they are flashing. If you could upload a picture of them working, it would help.

Take care,
Joe
