Check mass airflow sensor too, it really sounds like its not getting air, so yes clean the throttle body, check idle air control valve, airfilter and breather, pcv valve

Ok. Thanks again. I checked the fuel filter, a little dirty but not bad. With a listening device on the fuel tank, you can hear the pump start making weird noises right before it quits running and stalls out the engine. The battery power to the pump remains constant as does the ground, so it's looking like a fuel pump is needed. Do you guys recommend a fuel pump only or the whole drop in assembly? The parts stores are asking about a harness code? Where do I locate it? I examined the harness but no tags could be found? There are a few different ones for this truck, not sure which one to get.

After checking the idle air control valve again, I realized it was not working and oddly enough I just put it in just over a year ago. I put in a new one and presto, back to new, thanks for your help. Gary Brooks.

The whole drop in assembly usually includes the fuel level sending unit and float, along with the filter sock. If the gauge isn't acting up, I would go with just the pump. I couldn't find anything about a harness code, so either take a picture of the connector, or take the old pump in.

Ok guys, I got the whole drop in fuel pump assembly installed and appears to be running fine. I installed the pump on Sunday and still runs good. Thanks to everyone for the help, time and knowledge. I appreciate it.

I have a 1995 Chevrolet Blazer 4x4. My issues is; when I turn the key it fires and stalls right away. If I give it a lot of gas it will run a little bit and it sounds like it's misfiring horribly and then it will turn off a few seconds later. Two months ago I replaced the fuel spider the two incoming lines that go through the throttle body the fuel filter the entire fuel pump and assembly. A week ago I changed the oil everything was fine drove it to work three days later and on the way home from work the next day it started what seemed like a horrible misfire although I was able to make it home. Now when I turn the key it sputters and shuts off. Fuel pressure is between 58 and 61.
EGR was pulled out and clean.
Plugs are 2 months old org acdelco plugs.
No codes on the dash.
Can't get it to run to really check for other issues.
Please help. I can't imagine a fuel pump only lasting two months. I see some people mentioned some type of security system and some type of yellow wire in the dash underneath the steering column.

This sounds like a fuel pump or the crankshaft angle sensor has gone out. When you turn the key to the on position without cranking the engine over can you hear the fuel pump run in the tank for 5 seconds?
