truck will start then engine dies and won't start

Truck will start then I can drive down road and it all the sudden engine will die. I put in park and try to restart but it started up again at first but now will not restart and it requires to be jumped off with battery cables

Charge the battery fully. Then load test the battery and perform a starter draw test. Either the battery has a cell or three dying or the starter is dying and drawing too much current from the battery.
