Truck not starting

The first thing I would recommend checking is the distributor cap and the coil. Here is a simple way to check if there is an issue. When it is dark outside, start the truck, open the hood, and mist water on all ignition components to see if anything is arcing or if the engine shuts down.

Try that and let me know what happens.
