Hello, I have recently acquired the truck listed above that has been sitting for 5 years. I have drained and replaced all the old fluids. The vehicle currently will crank but will not start. The fuel pump kicks on as soon as you turn the key. We have tried spraying starter fluid in the intake, and it will still not start. We have checked the coil pack with a voltmeter, and it has around 5.3- 6.03 on each one. I am not sure what could be the issue. I will be replacing the plug wires tomorrow. I appreciate any information that I can get, thank you!

Hi,

If it refuses to start with starting fluid, chances are there is no spark making it to the spark plugs. I need you to check that first.

Here is a link that explains how it's done:

Also, if you have a live data scan tool, check to see if there is an RPM signal when you crank the engine. If there isn't, my first suspect is the crankshaft position sensor.

Take a look at this link and let me know if anything mirrors what you've experienced:

Let me know.
