Transmission will not go into reverse and slips in forward gears

This vehicle will not go into reverse it tries if you red-line the engine kit to catch, but will not go into reverse. The forward gears slip at higher rates of speed occasionally. The solenoids have been replaced and the fluid and filter are new. Proper amount of fluid is in the transmission. What could the problem possibly be?

From your description it sounds like an internal mechanical failure. Slipping and no reverse sounds like one of the apply servos is leaking past. If that is the case a rebuild or replacement would take care of the problem.
