Just purchased a 2006 Toyota Highlander V6 2WD, two days ago... 253 miles .... When applying the brakes at a stop and pressing on the pedal normally to hold vehicle from moving.... pedal slowly goes toward the floor and hits the stop... Seems to continue to hold vehicle in place....Dealer says this is normal with ABS brakes.

Braking system its something you have to be sure is working properly..
seems to me like the master cilynder its bad...

take it back inmediatly and ask them to repair it!

i don`t think that is normal !

ask them to let you "test" another Highlander and check if its feeling the same.
