1992 Toyota Corolla car won't start

My son just learned how to drive standard. First time out by himself the car died. Looks like the engine was stressed when I got to it, hot and overheating.
now it won't start. It cranks but won't turn over.
what do you think is the problem. It ran great prior.

Check fuel pressure and spark, also there is an inspection cover in the timing belt cover, take it off to see if the belt is broke or missing teeth.
Fuel pressure is checked by removing the cold start valve from the fuel rail and screwing in a special fitting with a shraeder valve on one end. This may be hard to find, so it may need to be done by Toyota.
I would check the timing belt and spark first.

Hi drypers808,

If overheating had occurred, check the compression, the engine might have blown a gasket.
