I HAVE A MAJOR OIL LEAK. MY OIL LIGHT CAME ON. WHEN I WOKE UP THE NEXT MORNING THERE WAS A HUGE OIL PUDDLE ON THE GROUND. I PUT A QUART OF OIL IN IT THAT MORNING. WHEN I CAME BACK TO IT FROM WORK IT HAD OIL ON THE GROUND AS WELL. IT LEAKS WHEN THE CAR IS RUNNING. WHAT COULD BE THE PROBLEM?

Hi your car engine has seals at each end to keep the oil in the engine.

So if oil is in front could be crankshaft oil seal
if it leaks from the top could be the valve cover gasket or the camshaft seal.

If leaking between trans and engine. The rear main seal. Could also be a bad oil filter or a bad oil sending unit. Good luck billymac
