The check engine light come's on and stay on for a couple of day and than go's off. And stay's off for about a month and than come's back on for about another couple of days. And it's been doing that for about six month

Hello,

While the light was on did you notice any drivability problems?

Did you think to go by your local parts store and have them pull codes while light was on? If not do so next time light comes on.
