1994 Toyota Camry 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

My 1994 Camry, 4 cylinder has a major problem. This started about two months ago. At stoplights, or stop signs it idles very hard, and then when I try to accelerate, it goes very slowly, and makes awful noise. I have tried to drive it more recently and it starts fine, but when I go to accelerate it goes very slowly and the rpm's are very high. Eventually it will kick and the car will go rather fine. It also works better when its cold, once its hot, it's even worse. When its hot and I give it gas it just bogs down. When im at a stop and try to accelerate and its hot, my car will basically stall, but if I put it in neutral for a second to keep it going it will rev up, but as soon as I put it in drive, it stalls. My dad thought it might be the coolant temperature sensor, but im not sure. PLEASE HELP.

Hesitation, lack of acceleration, chugging, bogging etc. Could be caused by one of the following below:

Inspect and test all the following listed below and get back with some testing results we start here

Oxygen sensors.
Catalytic converter.
Fuel injectors dirty/sticking.
Mass airflow sensor/Airflow meter.
Throttle position sensor.
Manifold absolute pressure sensor.
EGR Valve
Fuel pressure regulator leaking or defective fuel pump.
False air leakage.
Fuel contamination.
Foul/defective spark plugs.
Open spark plug wires.
Ignition coil/Coil packs defective.
Incorrect ignition timing.
Cap and rotor.

Note:If it doesn't apply disregard.
