Torque Specs

My husband is needing the torque specifications on the head bolts & camshaft carrier bolts for a 2013 Chevy Sonic LT 1.8L engine. Can you please help?

Hello,

This is straight from the repair manual. (DIAGRAMS BELOW)

Head Torque specs

Tighten the bolts (1) in 5 passes. Use the EN-45059 sensor kit :
First pass to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
Second pass to 90°.
Third pass to 90°.
Fourth pass to 90°.
Final pass to 45°.

Camshaft Caps

Install the camshaft bearing caps in sequence (2, 3, 1, 4) Tighten the camshaft bearing cap bolts to 8 N.m (71 lb in).

Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.
