Valve cover torque spec and sequence

Need the torque spec and sequence of the valve cover.

Good afternoon,

You tighten the bolts from the center out. Do the center 3 bolts first, then the rear bolts and then the front.

The torque spec is attached.

Vacuum leak from the valve cover. Got new valve cover on just need to torque the bolts. Need the torque specs on tightening the bolts. Thanks, in inch pounds please.

Welcome to 2CarPros. From the spec sheet it looks like they want 71 lb. In. Pattern starts in the center and goes out.

I have a 1.8 L Chevy sonic LT 2012 I need to replace the valve cover gasket and I need to know what’s the torque sequence is also how many inch pounds do I tighten the screws? Thank you for your help by the way I did buy a Fel-Pro gasket

Welcome to 2CarPros. The 3 short screws are installed first, then the long screws. All are torqued to 71 inch pounds. There is no set pattern but a simple criss cross pattern starting in the middle should be good.
