Theft lock preventing vehicle from starting

I lost my keys so somebody tried to fix it and did not know what they were doing and ended up braking some parts. So I bought a new ignition at the junk yard and installed it and now the cars security lock has need activated and I cannot start my vehicle. Is there any way to bypass this theft lock?
