Not starting

just replace the head gaskets and distributor and a couple other things in the car. now I had trouble with it starting got it to start then put it in gear it shut off and now it won't crank, but it's turning over. what seems to be the problem?

Based on the fact that you just put the head gasket on it we need to start with checking the compression. Here is a guide that will help with this:

Then we are going to need to check spark and fuel but I suspect we will find something with the compression, so let us know what you find and we can go from there. Thanks
