New starter installed and it started to start without the key in the start position

I have recently purchased a new starter and put it in, put it all back together and when I went to start it it started to start before I got the key to the start position. so now I have recently checked the battery and it is good, I also checked the big wire that goes to the starter it had power. so I checked the little wire's and neither had power. i hope you will help me with my car. It looks like a set of battery cables, a connector for reading information and an amp clamp for a voltmeter.

Well I have not been able to get my car started yet. Yesterday I took off the driver's door panel there was a connection that was not plugged in just a door light put it back together and now my door locks do not automatically lock and my lights do not come and my buzzer does not buzz when my door is open.
