Hi Steven,

This sounds like a faulty cluster to me as long as you are not low on washer fluid and fuel. Joking

Each of these gauges and warning lights are inputs to the cluster. It is very unlikely that each of these inputs has failed so that would leave the cluster as the common denominator. However, before you just replace the cluster, it would be worth while to have the diagnostic trouble codes pulled by a local parts store. Most of them offer a free service of pulling these codes.

Let me know if you are able to get these codes and we can confirm this path or figure something else out. Thanks

Kenny

Okay, great.

I attached the description for each of these DTCs. The P03## codes are all misfires so these do not have anything to do with the cluster/gauge issues.

The P0545 is about the AC Clutch circuit so again, this does not have anything to do with the issues you asked about.

I wonder if these are Stored meaning they are old and just never got erased. However, if you have issues with the AC and a misfire, I attached some resources to help you address those.

That leaves the P0500. This DTC is saying that there is no vehicle speeds sensor signal which will cause the speedometer to not work.

Even though you have this wheel speed sensor signal DTC it does not explain why all the other gauges are not working. This would support my earlier assessment that it appears the cluster itself is the issue.

Hopefully this info helps. If you would provide a little more history about this vehicle it can help figure this out. Did this issue just appear or were there parts replaced and then this issue with the cluster presented itself? What lead up to these issues with the cluster?

It all started when I took the truck to car place my sons friend manager there. Okay, I took it in when the speedometer went out the said they replaced the wheel sensor, but I think there is no sensor on the wheel hub right. They said the took the brakes off and changed it. After that the gauges didn’t work. When the speedometer quit then it would come back on. I’ve owned this truck from 14,000 miles.

The front wheel speed sensors are in the knuckle but these are not used for speedometer calculation. Only the rear wheel speed sensor in the rear differential is used for speedometer. The front two and the rear are used for ABS function. If they said they removed the brakes in order to change it, I would assume they replaced the front and if this is the case, this would not address the speedometer issue.

I attached some a couple documents that explain this in more detail.
