Do any of the three (front, rear, and dash) lights light but not blink?

Oilpan is on the right track. No relay tho.

The grounds are at several locations. One for the flasher and one for each turn signal bulb socket. 6 in all.

I would think that you have a bad bulb socket. Swap them over to the left side one at a time to see if you can get the problem to move. If it does you now know.

Could also be the switch. But go with the bulb sockets first. They are cheap ($4.00) and available at any parts house.

Good hunting and let us know. :)

Suggested Repair

Check the right-side turn-signal bulb sockets first by swapping them one at a time to the working left side to see if the fault moves. Also inspect the grounds at the flasher and each bulb socket. If the sockets are good, suspect the turn-signal switch. On a tilt-wheel car, try different steering-wheel positions as a quick check.

Conversation Summary

The owner of a 1997 Saturn SL says the right turn signal does not work. Both bulbs are good and replacing the flasher did not help; the flasher clicks for the left signal and hazards but not the right. Replies rule out a relay and recommend checking bulb sockets by swapping them to the left side, inspecting grounds, and considering the turn-signal switch. A tilt-steering position test was also suggested.
