Check both fuses in both fuse boxes, battery cables and connections, and the alternator-to-starter wiring. Confirm the alternator output stud did not rotate when the output wire was tightened. The alternator and battery were already tested and reported good.
A 1996 Saturn SC1 runs well but the alternator does not charge the battery, the battery light comes on, and the car eventually dies. The owner replaced the alternator three times, had AutoZone test it as good, and also checked the battery and a fuse. The expert advised checking both fuses in both fuse boxes, battery cables and connections, alternator-to-starter wiring, and whether the alternator output stud rotated while the wires were connected. No confirmed fix was reported.
