I have determined that I probably have a bad coil on my compressor. I want to just replace the compressor I have not checked for metal filings yet I may also by the compressor kit with the condenser and the expander. Two questions can I just replace the compressor if I cover up the air holes when I take off the compressor without replacing anything else?

Can you send me the step-by-step procedures for taking off the compressor and replacing it with pictures and also send me the step by step procedure if I have to replace the condenser also. I will tell you one thing I pulled away all the wheel well plastic guards and I can assure you you cannot access the compressor through the wheel well.

I am getting a compressor for only $150.00 am I gambling if I just replace the compressor without doing the condenser? I am willing to gamble. It is only $50.00 more to get the condenser with the expansion valve. Tell me the pros and cons of doing it both ways remember I want to do this as cheap as possible.

I do not think my compressor is damaged. The clutch just will not engage and we are reading 0 ohms at the coil. I do not know what shorted out the compressor maybe age or maybe a faulty condenser fan. Some people have said they are AC relay needs to also be replaced to not short out the new compressor but I do not have any access to a new relay.

What do you think about all this well sending me the instructions to replace the compressor and condenser if necessary? Thanks
