My internal rear-view mirror has an LCD display on it. It shows the vehicle direction of travel, and the external temperature. My display started to dim, and then came back. But over time, it has dimmed again, and has now totally gone out. Is there any way to fix this, or do I need an entire new unit? They are very expensive.
Thanks, Mike1961

What happens is the LCD driver module goes out inside the mirror. You will need to get a replacement which I have had good luck with Ebay for or you can try for a new unit from the dealer. Check out the images (below). Let us know if you need anything else.

These images are for an external side mirror. My question was about my internal rear view mirror. Perhaps there has been some confusion.

Sorry, my bad, there is only one voltage output from the BCM, the other electronics that run the rear-view mirror are internal, here are the wiring diagrams for the system so you can see how the system works. It sounds like the mirror will need replacing. Check out the images (below). Let us know what you find.
