Ever since I got this car in 2002, the heat or AC never blew into the car through the vents unless I used the strongest fan setting. This week has been rather chilly in Massachusetts, and I went to use the heat the other day and realized NO heat is actually blowing into the car, but if I put my hand up to the vents they feel hot. I've tried turning the heaters on and off with the dial knobs on the console, and I've tried checking the radiator fluid. (The radiator light is on, but when I check it, the fluid level looks fine).

What's wrong?

The blower motor resistor needs to be replaced. It is located under the dash on the passengerside right behind the blower motor. The resistor will cost $25-$35 and take about half an hour to replace. You'll need a 5.5mm socket, a flexible drive and a bit of patience. Remove the blower motor first for easier access.
