2000 Pontiac Grand Prix Car won't start

2000 Pontiac Grand Prix 6 cyl Automatic

I have a 2000 grand prix and last week after coming from school I try turning it on again and it wouldnt start. Light and everything came on but when trying to crank it I just hear a simple click. I replaced the battery with a new one. Can anyone tell me what else might it be?

Double check the battery make sure its cleaned and properly tightened.

Could be the starter, park and neutral position switch and ignition switch-Might also be the alternator or a short circuit draining the battery
