I have a 1995 pontiac grand am se, and their is 145,000 miles on it. I have changed the starter and the cylinoid. I have tested the alternator and the battery and they are both good. My ignition is fine and I have no fuses that are bad. My car won't do anything when you try to start it. It doesn't make any sound, but the lights, radio, clock, and everything comes on. It doesn't make any sound when you try to start it. Do you know what else could be wrong with it?

Not sure of all the facts, why you changed the starter in the first place? The same reason no start?
If it worked before the problem is probally you put the ignition starter wire on the wrong termal (common mistake), or possiblly forgot to put it on.
If it had this problem before you changed the starter it is probally you ignition switch, which is located at your knee level on the bottom of the steering wheel shaft (inside the car).
Try those ideas.

My Fiances grand prix gtp went all of sudden while he was driving DEAD. It would start for a second, his lights radio and everything else worked, we had it towed and found out it was the fuel pump, the resistor was also fried, it costs him 780.00 to replace it, good luck I hope that is not your problem.

I have a 1999 grand am gt 115,000 miles. It acts like it will start, but not getting enough gas. So after 4 auto shops looking at it we replaced the fuel pump guess what still didn;t work finally decided to get online and do some research didn't think it would help but I came acrossed alot of people with the same problem. However with my car I can't just reset the passlock system. I tryed to turn it to start wait 10mins doesn't help the security light stays on. I've read that suggests the lock and cylinder needs to be replaced. Just wondering if any one know if that is the case or if there is a way to by pass the anti theft passlock system? It's driving me crazy and cost alot of money already.
