Ok so I have a 1992 pontiac grand am 5 speed 149k miles. It runs great altho my brake lights came on today and will not go out. they are on while I drive and after I park and take the key out of the ignition. I tried to disconnect battery for a lil while connected it still on. Fuse is in good shape still working. Any idea of what it is, I was told something about a switch but where is it and what do I have to do to it is it just stuck or can you replace it. Im lost and I need to get this fixed thanks.

It sounds as if The brake switch is either shorted or stuck. It is located on the brake pedal under the dash.
