third brake light replacement

1991 pontiac grand am, 87,000 miles--i bought the car recently and i now need to replace the third brake light bulb, but i can't figure out how to get inside it to change it and the manual does not include details about it. how do i get in there? thank you

You need to open up the trunk, and its going to be on the lid/ top of the trunk. more then likely your going to need to remove the entirior lining, the lining that makes the trunk look good bascily, to keep it from showing the bare metal, it should pull out by removing those plastic tacks, and then you will see the blub unit and assembly and you should be fine from there, let me know if this helps or not.
